The Land of Sublime Wisdom: A Journey Over Ancient Egypt: 13.- 26. November, 2026
The ancient religion, culture, spirituality, and mysticism is perhaps unmatched, and it could be due to the fact that it unfolded over nearly 10,000 years in relative isolation along the fertile banks of the Nile River. And we can be thankful that it is well preserved not only in temples, sanctuaries and other structures which have been unearthed, covered by Nile silt for thousands of years, but all the spiritual texts, rituals, and artifacts are also in abundance.
I’ve been leading tours to Egypt going back over 10 years, and the way I lead these tours is to actually experience the sacred landscape of Egypt as the landscape of the human form. That is perhaps the most remarkable thing about Egypt altogether, is that from the north, around Cairo and Memphis, you have the seat of theology, the birth of creation. in Heliopolis, called Iunu (Iwnw) at the time meaning “City of the Pillar .” It was there the mound emerged from the primordial waters (Nun) and the nine original gods (the Great Ennead) were born to formed the basis of textured Egyptian belief system.
As you travel down over the landscape, it is indeed a travel through the chakra systems of the human form. Solar plexus is Luxor, the land of the living and the dead, where they celebrate their wars and the temple carvings. The heart chakra is a beautiful combination of Abydos, where the great god Osiris was venerated, coupled just down the road with Dendera, where the great sensuous god Hathor was venerated, forming, in an essence, a six-pointed star in the heart chakra.
I’ve ordered a sailboat for us to travel from Luxor over five days down to Aswan, and in that, we travel through the lower chakras, the sacral chakra at Edfu, the hara center, where Horus, the child of Osiris and Isis, was venerated. And then we make our way slowly down to Isis, where we experience the incredible temple built for the goddess Isis, which actually has the form of a birth canal entering her holy of holies, which is, for us, the womb, offering us a rebirth.
