Zoom Talk: 21.12.2025: at 4:00pm CET: Paul Skorpen on: A Tale of the Tepes of Southeast Anatolia

As an explorer of both inner and outer landscapes, I first caught wind of an excavation in southeast Anatolia—today known as Göbekli Tepe—and packed my bags as quickly as possible. That was more than a decade ago.
Since then, I have had the honour and privilege of leading tours through this extraordinary, inexplicable, and deeply mysterious region now known collectively as Taş Tepeler. I have just returned from another journey there, guiding a group through this landscape that continues to challenge our assumptions and stir our imagination.
In this talk, I will share recent developments alongside my own observations and insights—making a sincere effort to remain grounded in what can be known, while inevitably, and perhaps necessarily, drifting again and again into speculation.
All are warmly welcome to attend.
